Mersey Sound: 50 Years On

The Installation

First: Making waves from 100 minature guitars.

 

 

 

 

Shifting and placing the mini-guitars

and getting close to the final layout design.

 

 

 

 

Adhesive dots placed the center points of each suspended guitar.

 

 

 

A rough sketch the layout to suit the venue.

In this case an exhibition room in The Beatle's Story,

Britannia Vaults, Albert Dock, Liverpool. The area proved to be too small.

 

 

Checking out the Mersey Travel Ferries Terminal Pier Head Building

for its suitability to host the M~S~W for five weeks.

 

 

 

The venue is finally confirmed and secured.

 

 

The middle of the three floors of the Mersey Travel

Pier Head Ferries Terminal is to become home to the M~S~W

 for five weeks..

On the right: The Liver Building, Liverpool.

 

 

The Upper ceiling matrix constucted from metal rods supported by insitu RSJ beams.

Return to sender:

Back into it's glass show case inside the Cavern Pub;

But first a quick pose with Sir Paul's Hofner Violin Bass

in the rear of my car in Mathew Street, Liverpool.

Ten minutes later I went back the Fab4store and got the

second parking ticket wiping that smug looking picture right off my face.
